what we believe

  • We believe that the Bible is the word of God.
  • We believe there is only One God, who exists forever in three persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.
  • We believe God created humans to have fellowship with him, but that fellowship was broken by man’s sin.
  • We believe Jesus Christ is the only way that fellowship can be restored between man and God.
  • We believe Jesus Christ lived a sinless life on Earth and voluntarily gave his life on the cross as asacrifice for our sin.
  • We believe Jesus Christ was literally resurrected from the dead, ascended into heaven, and intercedeson the behalf of believers.
  • We believe salvation is forever and comes only by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
  • We believe the Holy Spirit lives within the believer, acts as a Comforter, gives gifts to be used for the church, and makes us aware of our sin.
  • We believe in baptism and the Lord’s Supper, two things in which Christ instructed believers to follow his example.
  • We believe everyone will experience bodily resurrection and the judgment. Only believers will enjoyeternal fellowship with God.
  • We believe the church’s role is to glorify God and serve those in need

John Wesley:

“In the name and strength of God, let’s decide, first, not to hurt each other; not to do anything unkind or unfriendly.

Instead, let’s try to do everything that we can that is kind, friendly, and Christ-like to each other.

Let’s decide, second, with God’s help, to not say anything unkind or unfriendly to each other.

The best way to avoid that is to say all the good we can about each other and to each other.

Let’s decide, third, to keep no unkind thoughts toward each other.

Let’s stop that before it starts, checking our hearts to make sure there is nothing but tender affection for one another.

Then we will be able to easily avoid unkind actions and words because the root of the problem is fixed.

Let’s decide, fourth, to help each other in whatever way that leads to the kingdom.

As much as possible, let’s always rejoice to strengthen each other’s hands in God.

Above all, let’s make sure we don’t fall short of love.”
